SOTL is offering a new opportunity to showcase your art and improve your communication skills! Participating in this competition is a great way to build your portfolio & boost your art/design school and internship applications.

Spirit of the Lakes Festival 2023 Art Competition theme:
My Spirit of the Lakes Festival

Winning submissions will be featured at the festival, online, as well as on postcards and/or vinyl stickers for purchase at the SOTL Festival and local businesses.

Entries are judged based on creativity and communication of theme. Along with your original art submission (electronically submitted drawing, painting, illustration, or graphic design) you are also expected to send a brief writeup explaining how this represents “My Spirit of the Lakes Festival”.

Deadline: June 15, 2023

Prizes:  $500 Scholarship for Winning High School Entry

$50 Gift Card for Winning Middle School Entry

Location: Submissions and voting will take place online. Finalists will be featured at the SOTL Festival July 14 & 15^th 2023 at Surfside Park Mound, MN.

Eligibility: Middle & High School students ages 13-19 living in or attending the Westonka School District.
