Grand Parade

cancelled for 2026

We look forward to the Parade returning in 2027.

Community Update

After many thoughtful conversations and careful consideration with city leaders, public safety officials, and festival organizers, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the Spirit of the Lakes Parade for 2026, rather than reroute due to construction.

This decision was not made lightly. While we explored alternative routes and options, we ultimately felt that moving forward would not provide the safe and enjoyable experience our community has come to expect and deserve.

We know the parade is a cherished tradition and understand many of you will be disappointed. Please know that our priority has always been creating the best possible experience for our guests, participants and community.

The good news? Spirit of the Lakes is still packed with everything you love! Join us July 16-18 at Surfside Park for live music, fireworks, family activities, food and drinks, the marketplace, kids events, and so much more.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support. We can’t wait to celebrate with you on the lake this summer.

Expanded Shuttle Service

We encourage folks to take advantage of the shuttle to the festival this year. We’ve expanded the hours into Thursday evening and added a second shuttle during Friday and Saturday to make for an effortless journey to-and-from Surfside Park.

Shuttles will pick-up from the Mound Parking Garage near True Value, Shirley Hills, and Mt Olive Lutheran Church.

Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.
